This drawing is the result of a process in which I create the entire drawing in one fluent motion with the drawing tools of my own design. I have to pay careful attention to know when to stop or when to change color in order to continue drawing the pattern in one fluent line. If I lose focus for a second, there might be one line too many on paper where it doesn’t belong (which could also have a surprising effect, so I have to keep a close eye on it!).
Every drawing is created line by line, until it ends in a unique and fascinating combination of lines and patterns. Nice, clean lines, but in the details you can see that it’s handmade.
And of course, I try not to go off the curve, because then I will have to start from scratch again…
*Framing
For this piece, I would recommend the white Barth frame with non-reflecting museum glass. The white frame pulls all the attention towards the piece itself and because of the non-reflecting glass you will hardly see any glass and reflection at all, making the colors of this piece pop out even more.
